VERY RARE IN THIS CONDITION Hensoldt Orion II (the military division of Zeiss Optics) Gen 2+ Weapon Scope
Hensoldt Orion II 5.5 Magnification for sale £1380.00 plus postage
The unit is in Orion 80 II and it is a Generation 2+ Military scope system and is still on issue to several Military and Police Units around the World (the German army still has it issued for semi-sniper use). The quality of the optics are far better than anything else available on the civilian market at this time and are crystal clear as you would expect from a Zeiss group product.
This unit is German Ex-Service and has been used and has a few minor marks on the body of the scope which I hope you can see from the photographs although these are very minor I am just being as honest as I can be, but the optics are flawless - with NO black spots visable when in operation.
The specification of the unit is as follows:
• 5.5 x Magnification • Illuminated target system (see point below) • 8 degree field of view – (140m/1000m) • Focus range – 20m to ~ • Resolution 0.25mrad • Entrance Pupil diameter – 85mm • Dioptric adjustment - +/- 4D • Tube – XX 1440 CJ-Dep OR XX 1610 SP-Phillips - • Automatic brightness control(ABC) for tube protection • One-knob operation • Runs of 2 x ‘C’ batteries (easily available) • Batteries last for 2 0+ hours at 20c . • Length of unit – 208mm • Width of unit – 110mm • Weight – 1.75kg • Shock 70 g's • Water tightness to 1.5m submergence • Temp range for operation -40 C to + 40 C • All metal construction • All external surfaces are a non-reflective matte green finish
