Hello from East Devon,newbie needing advice

Hi
Had NV about 20 years ago ex Russian Gen 1 from "Soviet Bazaar" just got back into it as I have a Fox problem,wow wot a change,guys doing DIY ones etc,I dont know weather to get a cheap 2nd hand gen 1 or go the DIY route,would be grateful for any advice thanks Greg

gotta be honest, gen1 wouldn't be my first choice for foxing.....are you looking at an addon (behind yer dayscope) or a dedicated (n.v riflescope)

hi thanks for reply,its a question of cost for me,cheap as possible,got foxy coming within 20 yards have been using a night trail/nv camera and he comes between 10.30pm and 02.00 after 10pm I cant see!! hes after the chickens,im in the middle of the stix and have shotguns so will use that,my shotgun has a weaver rail for a scope/point sight

for a shotgun outside a chicken house i'd honestly save me money and use a lamp mate...maybe leave the trail cam in place and wait for the click or the i.r lighting up to tell you he's there

well, i'm the last person to discourage someone from joining darkened fraternity. why not have a browse through the d.i.y section at the various spotter builds

you can use a spotter for more than just shooting and almost all the bits can go into making an addon as well if thats something you fancy doing

Same as moved down here about five years :thumbup: best way to stop the old foxes I find is go and have a lash each corner they hate it lol
