Hello from South Africa

Hi All,
I am new to the forum and joined to find out a bit more about what night vision technology everyone else is using.
I have used two nitesite products - the NS50 and NS200 and found them both to be quite good - the only issue being the amount of wire that always seems to be in the way, and the brick of a battery that needs to be carried around ;)
Anyhow, I am looking for a scope mounted product that is as cheap as I can get, while still delivering good quality (which is probably a bit of an oxymoron...), and that is not complicated to set up, which gives me a range out to 300m or so.
It will be mounted on a .243 so needs to handle a bit of recoil.
I would appreciate any advice that you are willing to give, and will continue to search through the forum to see what's out there.
Regards
Gary

Hi gary, wellcome aboard.
there are plenty info here on diy night vision build, take a look in diy section, you will get plenty more bang for your buck with diy :P
more illumination generally translate to more range, take a look at t20 with doubler too.

Didn't realise it went to those sort of things though. In those days I was of an age when I had other priorities so that sort of thing just slipped right by me. There were far more important things to worry about, girls, motor bikes,Land Rovers, generally being an annoying yoof
