Re: A simple question
if theres any justice in the world the answer is a simple NO
Re: A simple question
This is only my opinion, the rozzers might think differently.
If you are the victim of the domestic violence, but the person who is perpetrating the domestic violence has no access to your guns, then I see no reason for the victim to have their guns removed unless the victim has threatened the perpetrator with the guns.
I guess the time issue would depend on how many times they are called out and how serious each incident is.
If the guns are removed because violence has been threatened, getting them back probably won't be easy.
Cheers

Re: A simple question
might be as well to lodge them with a rfd until matters are sorted...just take them out of the picture
Re: A simple question
just read some more.
the person's other half has been spouting off etc, and the police were called, the fac holder came home and was greeted by them, then they came back 3 months later and thank you mam, took his rifles etc from the home where they both live together ?
now it's hotting up.

Re: A simple question
I just had a read of the new (November 2013) Home Office Guidance on Firearms legislation
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... v_2013.pdf
This is what it has to say regarding a certificate holder being the victim of domestic abuse:
"12.41 Chief officers should also consider danger to public safety or the peace, including arrangements for storage of the firearm/shotgun/ammunition where the certificate holder is a victim of, or a witness to, domestic violence or abuse in the family home. Any household which is in domestic turmoil is unlikely to be a suitable place for firearms to be stored."
