Selling gear that's not in stock!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is it with UK sellers whose internet sites accept your order and your payment although they don't have the goods in stock ?

Twice in two days I've had the "sorry it isn't in stock but we'll get it out to you soon" email. "Feck off and give me my money back" is my answer to them.

To make matters worse, it's always one or two days before they come out with their pitiful excuse. You're waiting on the postie with your new gear and it's not even on it's way

So, although they have pretty pictures up, their sites are as much use as tits on a bull. So now, I phone my order in and say "Do you actually have this item in stock?". Saves all of the shit I've to endure in waiting on the dreaded "Sorry'
" correspondence. Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrg!!!!!

Seems to be becoming more prevalent, they finance their operations on your money.
I ordered a laser over Christmas and called to see which version was in stock of the 4 different combinations.
I ordered it and they charged my CC, and I just now got it 2 months later. I could have canceled, but the price was good, I just won't buy a damn thing from them again.

That's just it though, Geoff, it isn't the money. It's the fact that I've ordered something that I need and want asap. I've had two companies do this and so I've now lost four days.

Name and shame time. Sportsman Gun Centre and McAvoys.

Nothing but superb service from Henry Krank and Dauntsey Guns whose stock list is accurate. Another point here is that Henry Krank only charge £4 postage on most items. Even multiple items. How good is that, when everyone else seems to charge £7-£8. One firm even quoted £12 postage on a Lee Hand Press

Hobbyking were showing a battery charger on fleabay I was interested in for the HD38S battery pack but it was showing on back order on the UK warehouse stocklist.

So I sent them a message via fleabay and they eventually came back and said they'd take it off ebay as it wasn't actually in stock in the UK! Arse...

I'm quietly going off H'King!... the mini DVR recommended on here has never been back in UK stock! Or the euro warehouse for that matter and I can't find where it tells you how much postage would be from the Worldwide warehouse.... 'cos you have to go through checkout to find out. Fek that!
