Why so many photons are for sale?

All of a sudden there are loads of photon owners are selling up. Can't be that bad for the money. Just saw one for £330. Not long ago someone sold one on the eBay for £600. There is still a long waiting list with Thomas jack.
I was looking forward for them coming out last year this time, but the reticle did put me off. But surely they are value for money.

Scott and Country had a big stack of photons available at the show. They had them for sale @ £380 show price.
I have one which I paid £380 for when the original buyer didn't get on with it. I think its usable, but i have a T20 on the side and have a doubler fitted.
It will stay till I make something better or I get a promotion and I treat myself to a DronePro.
Not all are the same as me, but I like dedicated. I like the fact that i can take the rifle out the cabinet, put in gun slip, drive to the farm, take out of slip and go for a walk. No wires, no connecting to the scope, nothing to snag on anything else, no fuss.

Lot's of 'buy to try' people selling up plus some air rifle boys fed up with no mil dots is my guess. Plus people caught up by the hype who can't get on with a fixed mag dedicated scope, I know I'm a confirmed add-on man.
Tell ya one thing though, I know quite a few people who are now nv converts due to the Photon's price
Funny thing is I went through the nv section on ebay today and though how few Photons there were for sale?

i reckon you're the same as me mark, i really WANT to like dedicateds for all the reasons people do...f.o.v, no hassle, less i.r, etc
but when it comes down to it they just don't float my boat
speaking of photons. i see the second hand price is finally starting to come down.

Addons all the way for me. I still have that Atn I bought off George and never used it yet. I am definitely going to put it on something this year just to try it then will probably sell it. I like to be able to zoom in and out.
