one for our overseas members

Post by sunndog » 07 Feb 2014, 21:18

we've got quite a few overseas members now, so we thought we'd have a thread for our far flung members to tell us about your favorite GENERAL SHOOTING forums from your own country

so fella's, write a couple of lines and provide a link. post them up on this thread and i'll transfer them to a locked sticky thread.
lets see if we can build up a nice database of quality shooting forums from around the world!

http://www.thehighroad.org
US based, emphasis on right to keep and bear arms, but very well segmented into hunting, rifles, shotguns, competition, training, etc. Has a very new airgun section that a lot of Brits could help with. It's tightly moderated, so no bad language, religion, racism, etc that can make other boards unwelcoming. Bennybone, DFWRoadkill are members there as well. My internet home away from home with over 4000 posts in a dozen years.

Similar to THR, THR was its replacement when TFL closed for a year, back in '02. Slightly different culture, but basically the same mind set of keeping it clean and educating the new shooter.

This is the Kiwi forum. I can't say if it is any good:

Australian forum:

The local NV manufacturer is a sponsor with their own section.

Hi Sunndog -

I find myself frequenting the Hogs/Varmints/Small Game forum here:

http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/ ... Small_Game

The technical NV forum is located here:

http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_6/18_Night_Vision.html

and the other forums as those above have mentioned are good as well.

Thanks!

well...guess im the farthest guest around here....so far I only shoot a .177 and .22 airgun but i also shoot a .22lr. We still dont have strict rules in this tiny country. About forums I participate? mmm guess what, it's only in spanish and they are only related to airgun shooting...almost no NV posts...thats why I always get my ideas from here....

http://foro.fieldtarget.cl/

There you get a lot of info of rifles, hunting places, shooting clubs around and maintenance of our TOYS :P

http://foro.airgunschile.cl/

This one is the same but with less info and less participation...you get more things to buy in this one anyway

http://www.sport-jagd.cl

this is more general in hunting and fishing stuff.....

Hope some spanish speaker can get advantage of this forums...Thanks a lot

Hi Very informative forum on predator control. Only problem is mostly Afrikaans is spoken but the guys will communicate in English if they know you don't speak Afrikaans.

Great hunting forum
