Great info you all have here, hope to contribute some of my own at some point. I hunt everything except birds. I'm a machinist by trade, I'm a lic. manufacturer of suppressors, short barreled rifles, short barreled shot guns etc. I shoot competitive pistols in USPSA. Generally just have fun

They only list 2B internal with Major @ 0.9740 Min. @ 0.9660

Nope.

That might work for a very coarse and deep thread.

The 32 tpi threads are only a few pubes deep.

According to this very useful website http://theoreticalmachinist.com/TapDrillSizeCalc.aspx
The drill size for a 1" 32TPI UN thread is 31/32"

Nope.

Push harder, it'll make its own hole
