Hello there all ,
After many years of waiting I have finally gained permission on a rugby/football park and I would like to clear the bunnies asap for the groundskeeper.
That being said , I have a dilemma , the little buggers don't like playing so I'm going to have to resort to NV , something that I have zero ,let me say that again ABSOLUTLY ZERO experience in , and to make matters worse I leave the diy to the wife which makes things just that little bit harder.
So I would like to apologise in advance for asking all the stupid/obvious questions and would ask a little/LOT of patience from the more experienced amongst us.
I will eventually find my way but in the meantime let the ribbing begin .

If you are completely against DIY then you can buy a Yukon Photon dedicated night vision scope for around 400 pounds. You will probably need a replacement Infra Red light, up to 80 pounds when you buy a good, safe, battery charger and spare battery, but can be done for much less, depending on range. If you want to shoot at distance then you will look at a 1.7x magnification lens (doubler) and adapter for around 110 pounds. So really no change from 600 quid if you want to shoot at HMR rimfire ranges. The basic unit should do for for air rifle ranges. Some Bloke has some good Youtube vids and will supply you with a suitable torch, so worth answering his questions.

If you have a decent scope with front or side focus parallax, then you can buy an Add On that slips over the eye piece. Currently you can get a Wardy Vision for around 550 pounds, plus IR torch, or shortly a Nite Tek 300 or Starlight Arrow. Plenty of discussion about them all on here.

Or you can go the DIY route and build your own Add On for 250 pounds including IR, that will do the same as the commercial unit. Paulham's tutorial in the DIY stickies is your starting point.
