Busy day tomorrow
Busy day tomorrow
Well thats my day planned for tomorrow then , clearing up the mess in the garden , ringing the insurance company and trying to find the torn off sheets of twinwall that used to be on my car port
, i dont know about other parts of the country but this is the worst i have known here since the big storm in 1987
and i'm really not looking forward to seeing what other damage has occured by the morning
Re: Busy day tomorrow
From your ability to grumble I'll take it you are OK then, which is the main thing.
I hope the damage is minimal and Christmas ends up being the same as normal for you and your family.

That Bad ???
Went to a Carol concert come all round good evening out at the Black Country Museum last night . I was a bit breezy in open areas but nothing drastic. Had a couple of minutes of drizzle but nothing to moan about given it's December.
Was a nice night, plenty of food available, lots going on.
Sorry to hear about it down your way John, hope you find your carport. Has it damaged the car?

Im glad you made it through the storm ok mate.
Thats the worst winds i remember.
I know im on top of a hill here, the wind was actually making the house shake.
Iv got a 50ft beach tree the other side of the drive that had a proper bend in it.
Need to get that reduced down by two thirds in height.
I honestly thought that tree was going to come crashing through the house last night.

Re: Busy day tomorrow
I'm still waiting for a local tree cutter to come out and remove a great big branch that has come away from one of the 50-60ft conifers we have got in the garden , the branch is so big it has fallen across the lane and got caught up half way down one of the trees in the wood on the opposite side
, thats £200 i could have done with not paying out at this time of year , but looking on the bright side at least it fell away from the house and not on it.

glad to hear you're ok mate
got to work this morning to find eight trees down in the garden(one of which is a 60ft eucalyptus), no electric, panes of glass missing from the greenhouses, poly tunnel nearly gone, and the two lakes close to going over the dams
don't remember it being that bad since 87
plenty of work to do, clearing up when we get back in the new year
cheers john
