"shed" red deer antlers

Post by norfolk ferret » 17 Nov 2013, 16:06

Hi chaps, a couple of years ago while moving cattle on the marsh I was lucky enough to find a pair of 17 point red stag antlers. They've been in a cupboard since then, but having just moved house I'm desperate to get them mounted and up on the wall.
Does anyone know how to mount shed antlers , or know of anyone in the Norfolk area I could pay to do it for me. I really want to do show them off!

You can buy fake skulls for mounting Roe antlers, you might get them for Red too. Bushwear used to sell them, check their website

I will be seeing a taxidermist this weekend. If I remember I will ask him.

I'm off to the chiropodist, but I guess he won't be too much help with this. Nor will the taxi driver :?
