Perhaps i will get a 3D printer after all
Well not long really, I think all of the techniques I used to make that box were in this video by Dennis Baldwin.22-250jock wrote:nice one Paul![]()
looks like you're getting the hang of ithas it taken long to grasp the basics?
I see what you mean, but the one im thinking about is called a 'RepRap Mendel'. It consists of threaded rod, nuts, smooth rod, bushings, 3D printed corners, a micro controller, stepper motors, hot bed and a extruder. (I think ive covered it all)rodp wrote:Paul, I'm sure the patent on the metal powder printers expires early next year. This may possibly have a dramatic effect on the price of plastic printers, I'd hold fire a while.
A few weeks ago i installed a 3d package and went straight in to make a DSA similar to the pulsar challenger one. I failed dueto not knowing the basics.Hilbily wrote:Looks very nice, and the best thing is, you can make it just like you want it!
If I can ever get the cad drawing figured out I'd like to make a DSA.
