There must be lots of 18650 users on here, where are all the bargains and what batteries should be avoided?

The bargains are old laptop computer battery packs which you disassemble and sort out the best ones.
The guaranteed way to get good 18650s at a fair price is to buy them from here:

Any 18650 with "fire" in it's name is crap and should be avoided.
That's all you need to know about 18650s
