Newbie Introduction.

Regards to all.
I've played around with some night vision, good and bad, in the past when out after a fox or two but never really understood what was available or how it worked.
I've joined the forum to learn more about NV and also the alternatives to the frustration of having lots of wires trailing off a big lamp sat on top of my 'scope when out at night.
I may not understand all the advice/technical stuff on the forum but hope to learn as much as I can.

Hiya, welcome mate, you'll soon know a lot more more about dumping them oldie world filament lamps dude.

There's umpteen illuminator builds, and guys who specialise in making long range foxing ones for you if you don't feel up to it yourself.

Sikastag is the bloke to have a natter with if that's the case.

i don't know if you read the small print when you signed up?
but if your using a scope mounted light force or clulite when you join the forum then you have to buy the brews until you join the led revolution LMAO

Welcome to the forum mate. Years ago that big cumbersome spotlight was cutting edge technology, we all had them, after spending years of tramping around permissions with a car battery in a back pack, holding a Ceebee spotlight off a car that weighed more than 5 lightforce lamps. We have go tit easy now a days I can assure you. Some of the other older members ail know what I am talking about.

spent years getting fed up acid burns on my clothing when out lamping, wiring play up and getting pretty fed up with it getting caught up everywhere.
Not had experience with the any other type of illumintion but keen to find out what's suitable for lamping foxes, max range about 200yrds.
I was told the nightmaster 800 would be suitable but would welcome guidance, Somebloke has already given me a heads up for which I'm grateful. I want to buy a complete unit with the capacity to change colours from white to either green or red.
More then happy to get rid of the clulite/nightforce collection when sorted.
