Post by 22-250jock » 01 Sep 2013, 19:59

just wondered if anyone else had noticed the stats for this year so far compared to last year, we're only into the beginning of sept and the hits are not far off double last years already :wtf:

seem to be getting more and more new international members joining the forum as well

just got back off hols yesterday and have spent all day trying to catch up on four pages of active posts

You're right on the money there, John. The growth rate of the forum is massive, and all this in less than two years. The latest figures will be going up there any day now.

Membership is at almost 2000. We check out every membership application ourselves, of which we get maybe 70-100 per day. This way, we can govern the calibre of membership. If we just let any application proceed, we could have a membership of 10,000+. We try and ensure that of the spammers are declined, but sometimes make mistakes and delete the good guys too (apologies ;) ).

We now have members from all parts of the world. As you say, it often takes quite some time to catch up on new posts, which shows that there are more and more active members. More and more active threads.

Our sales section is getting busier too. Busier and more effective. Stuff is not just being advertised on here as well as other forums. It's selling on here.

The bottom line is that you fellas make it what it is. Geoff and myself often comment on how little trouble we have on here. Using common sense from both the members and the mods, helps threads run better. We're all adults and know just how far things should be taken without causing offence to one another.

Thanks for all of your support.

thats something i find very noticable about this place, its got quite a "grown up" feel about it
when was the last time you had to lock a thread george, or give a member a warning?.....bet it was a good while ago
i reckon the balance is perfect on here. you mods generally give us a pretty free rein and in return no-one seems to go to far

its very rare for anyone to fall out on here and folk tend to take jokes in the spirit in which they were intended, so refreshing after certain other forums

December 2012, I remember it well :lolno:

You're quite right about the 'grown up' feel, Adam. We think so too.

As Adam says, it's nice to have a forum where everyone takes a joke in the manner it's meant, and on the odd occasion I've noticed that when someone's out of order, they immediately apologise. Got to be a good thing.

When you eventually sell it to Google for millions of £££££££ will you still speak to us peasants George ?
