Dash Cam

Mate of mine had an incident the other day where someone cut in front of him and damaged both vehicles. Luckily, after the other driver got out and started raving about how my mate had driven into his rear quarter, he showed him his dash cam that was still recording the crash (and the fraudulent accusations) ..
Bottom line is my mate ended up with the cash to repair his vehicle and no further problems

So lads, any recommendations as to a decent dash cam?

I will be watching this thread with interest as i am thinking of putting one into my daughters car but there does seem to be a lot to choose from

For people on this forum that use the AngelEye with the standard camera, they have already something useful when not used to record hunting videos. I might be using mine for that purpose.

True, but I want something dedicated to the job, preferably just left in the motor.

Checkout the #16 keychain cam.

Its small (the size of a keyfob) and you can hard wire it so that it records when the engines on, and keeps recording and deleting old footage.

I've got one here I bought for a multirotor, good quality too.

Thanks Paul, do you know off hand the angle of view, how long it records for before recording over stored data and can you remember wher you got it from?

On eBay. There's only one guy selling the origional one.
I got the 120 degree lens. But you can get less. 120 would be perfect for cars.

Not sure about the recording as I haven't done it before.
