Just got my ticket back with a slot for 20 tac and sound mod, have a Tikka M595 in 222 sitting at my rfd's and a lovely new Walther Luther 20 cal barrel. Now wheres my Photon?

Nope, the 22-250 is a truck gun, as heavy as a very heavy thing and will be heavily used come harvest, the 20 tac is being built with a sporting barrel for when I go out on foot, usualy once the crops are drilled and fields too wet

Got some 32grn SBK bullets delivered (legally too!) this week if you want a nod to a supplier but I don't think(know) if he's got any 39grn SBK's... he didn't have any left in early June after I bought 500.

Re the bullets delivered. I recently went to post an illuminator at the post office and was asked what was in it and then slipped a leaflet regarding sending illegal items through the post. I get on well with the postal staff and asked if I was being singled out to be asked this and given a leaflet. They laughed and said no. wWe have been asked to ask everyone sending a parcel what is inside it. As they were processing my parcel, I flicked through the banned items for sending. Ammunition was jumping out the page to me. I told them, that unless the law has changed. There was never a problem sending Non expanding ammunition or heads through the postal system, in the past.

Has this changed.

Hi Ian,

Wasn't there something a few months ago on Stalking directory about the PO changing their rules and banning anything to do with firearms... which would immediately cock-up any mail order company selling 'scopes, mounts, stocks, etc etc. As far as I'm aware to is still legal to post... or at least to send, non-expanding bullets (ie the bits on the end not ammunition). My bullets came in from Italy so they weren't posted in this country, same applies to whichever country they come in from. eg the US. They don't need entering on my FAC but I do need to keep the invoice as proof of purchase.

Anyway, my bullets arrived by courier within 5 days. Happy with that!

Knowing the miserable stroppy (some of them anyway) women at my local PO I wouldn't be surprised if they were to 'accidentally' drop the box containing a 'scope if they found out what was inside. Could just lie I suppose. (A dildo, a very big one! With batteries! Although they'd probably not accept it with batteries in case of fire )

I'll see if I can't find the PO thread on SD.
