Cunning Stunt (How to badger into posting a photo)
This morning I put an aluminium scaffold tower platform up a dead old oak tree. Before you ask, the answer is no, not a yellow ribbon in sight !
The platform had been hanging around the yard for a couple of years, wedged against a fence in behind a muck heap. It worked out really well in the end, it sits really nicely just above the first fork, about 12 feet up. Some branches will need trimming later but it's pretty good where it lies so, no rush. By the time I put a rail and something to sit on up there it works out I'll be up at around 15 feet high. Nice.
The problem in this area has always been the livestock, there's a road one side and a footpath on the other too..... it's as flat as a witches proverbials and shots need to be chosen very carefully. Never been happy shooting this patch but it's been a really good choke point for foxes in the area over the last few years. Much happier now.

Re: Cunning Stunt
You can't beat a tower
I have 4 towers on my mates duck farm for sorting out the rats and my other farmer mate is about to put up two permanent towers over looking the foxing hotspots on his farm

Land Rovers, who would be daft enough to own one?

Re: Cunning Stunt
I'll second the very good information in that post - pics needed now.
Open a photobucket account first and upload yer pics to it, then follow the 'how to post pics Chas put up - I'll see if I can find it.

The title has been changed, sorry no photo's of it
P.s. it's only the platform bit from the top of a tower, not a whole tower by the way - hence the tree bit !
