Who else's dog likes to be hoovered ??

Post by rodp » 10 Apr 2013, 17:05

Our black Lab loves to be hoovered (well, vaxed actually), get the hoover out and he goes loopy until you do him.
Anyone else's dog the same ?

Years ago my parents had a Spaniel that was a sod for it.
As soon as my mum got the hoover out the dog was on the case and it would just lay down in front of her where ever she tried to go.
Trying to stop this action was a pointless exercise, if you tried shutting the dog in another room or even outside it would just sulk and be the most uncooperative bloody minded animal on the planet, however, once vacuumed it would just go and sit on it's chair in the conservatory and act as daft as a brush, until the postman came.

My dog hates the Hoover, as soon is taken out from under the stairs he is on guard. He follows it around the house and if it gets too close to him he barks and grabs it.

If the Hoover was to touch me or any of my clothes hanging up he will grab the hose and pull it off.

He also has a similar hate for the ironing board. Haha

Vacuum cleaners, suit cases, bikes, post men, feet, as soon as they move - they're attacked
He loves being wiped down with a towel after a walk or a bath, he growls like a bear in heat then tries to kill it
...is this a pistol in my hand, or am I just pleased to see you ?

Ours likes a towel or blanket as well. He likes you to put it over his head then he goes round bumping into things and biting them  Flipping hurts at times as well, especially when he gets a tender bit
