Hello From SE MA, USA
I always admired owls' ability to see me in darkness when I couldn't see them. I hope to surpass this great bird's ability to see in "total" darkness, even with its near infrared abilities.

Being able to see in total darkness is so awesome!

Hello Mr Q and welcome along to our night vision forum.
I'm familiar with MA and have fished for striped bass and bluefish there on many occasions, especially around the Sandwich area. A beautiful area. Have toured The Cape on many occasions.

Sorry, George. Thought I did that but somehow overlooked this entry.
Yes, the Cape is a nice area but in the last few decades it's been gaining too much of a population and a drastic decrease in the shore fish population - so bad that the state has now required salt water fishing permits. When I was a kid in the early 60s, I went deep sea fishing with my dad out of Plymouth every weekend and never came home with less than 50 pounds of Haddock for the neighborhood (Cod were considered a "trash" fish and threw back) but today, you go out 5 miles and your'e lucky to get a small cod of 2-4 pounds. Back in the "old" days, a haddock of less than 10 lbs. was thrown back! My biggest haddock back then was a 23 pounder and a cod of 38 lbs. My mom, going out for the boat ride mainly, tried her hand at fishing and caught a 56 pound cod. Holding it up with its tail fin just off the ground for a picture, it was as tall as she was at 5' 10".
Alas, those were the good old days for sure
