anotherclueless new boy
Right guys thought I'd say hello. I'm going to have a bash at doing a cheap as chips NV set up, so if I screw it up I haven't thrown away a load of cash. I was pointed in your direction by quite a few people on the different airgun forums I'm on, as if I need help and advice apparently this is the place to be. The cheapy set up I had in mind was an IR bullet camera 0 lux. L-ion battery, power splitter, car reversing camera and a suitable illuminator. This rig hopefully will give me clear picture up to 60yrds as I am only shooting air rifle and any more would be overkill. What do you think. I'm a technical retard so all this gear has jack plug style connectors.

Hi reaper.
You don't know about me yet but - I'm a bit on the clumsy direct side.
I keep meaning to ask George to give me a tag name of 'AKA Viktor Meldrew' under my forum name - go on George for everyone's sake.
Have a good read before you make any purchases mate.
Low light cams were never designed to view the tiny exit pupil image that comes out the back end of a rifle scope. Every bit of help you can give it will produce better results. If you've read much on here by now you've probably already figured a 0 lux camera will be pants.. um I mean disappointing.
You can assist poor cameras with a bundle of light but air rifle ranges are a bit too close to bunnies to be using more light than needed IMO.

Cheers for that mate, and I like direct you know where you stand , unfortunately the camera was ordered before I joined the site. Do you have any suggestions on camera that will plug and play without me having to sell my children.

Re: anotherclueless new boy
Can we start with you telling us what camera you ordered - and if you will be using it behind a rifle scope? (we dont actually need them all the time these days)
