Front or rear add on?
Front or rear add on?
In need of some advice thinking of getting a front or rear add on I have a pulsar n455 on one of my 17’s but looking for something for the other rifles they all have ziess scopes on don’t mind thermal digi or possibly consider tube !
Re: Front or rear add on?
If you have Zeiss scopes on your other rifles, you are limited to using a front mounted NV device.
The coatings on 'most' Zeiss scopes blocks the IR that you would need to see on a rear mount device like the Pard/Ward.
You have quite a few alternatives if you want to go tubed, with a lot of folks recommending Starlight products, Archer and Longbow, but there is some speculation as to whether Starlight are still trading..... so, Caveat Emptor.

Re: Front or rear add on?
This is what I have been reading and there seems to be loads of achers going up for sale at the moment not sure if people are skint or off loading them
Re: Front or rear add on?
There are services that offer servicing and re-tubing of Starlight products, so you are not necessarily tied into to Julian.
Obviously, going down the second hand route, it would be best to 'try before you buy'.
Or there is this as an alternative - http://www.nightvisionstore.co.uk/new-d ... 2x31101780
