I have just joined the group (thanks) and I normally use lamps for night shooting. I recently bought a cheapish nv range finder and I am amazed what detail it shows. I have been shooting on a couple of permissions and now I can see that the vermin are there with the nv, but as soon as I switch on the lamp, no matter how low, they scatter and disappear rapidly, time for nv on the scope I think.

Re: Hello
hi Rob, welcome to the forum.
Don't throw yer lamping gear away - just save it for the first few outings if you've stood down for long periods over winter/wet ground etc. There will be bunnies who have not got lamp shy next year.
