It's really easy to do as long as everything is within one building. What sort of network do you need and how good are you at following instructions? Luckily the networking equipment has got much easier to use and set up in the last few years so unless you need something complex it becomes more or less an exercise in plugging in cables and power supplies. Some proper planning always helps so that you can build in a bit of flexibility.

Hi terry
I'm fairly good on pcs and the network is a home one so no probs there. What I want is a wireless network so I have a stand alone wireless PC running windows server 2003 and I want everything else to connect to it

Help

It can be done but it is simpler to use a wireless router for your internet connection and to connect everything via that with your pc set up to share the folders you want to be visible on the network. I have quite a few different devices on my network and rather than connect using wireless I use powerline networking adapters which are much less trouble and give a better transfer rate. If you have any questions just drop me a pm and I will try and help although I'm not familiar with Win 2003 server as such.
