Bushnell Equinox Z

Post by chrishuk » 26 Dec 2018, 21:31

Hello.
My name is Chris, just joined up.
I've a problem with my Bushnell Equinox Z Monoculer.
The rear eyepiece lens has become opaque making it difficult to see through it.
It needs replacing.
Anyone know any retail or wholesale part suppliers who may sell them?
Thanks.
Happy New Year.

I had the same problem, as did my mate. He sent his back to bushnell and they replaced it under warranty. Mine was a lot older. The problem is the coating is scratched by just cleaning lenses with dirty hands/gloves. I got some brasso and a soft cloth and polished the lens carefully. It’s now 90% perfect. I doubt you can get a spare for it. If it’s getting impossible to use you’ve got nothing to lose by trying it. I don’t use mine nowadays but still handy to have. And is a grea unit for the money. Think I used the stuf that’s in a tin with the impregnated wadding. I wouldn’t try the same tric with my swaroskiys mind but as said you may have nothing to lose.

Thanks. The unit is out of warranty sadly. Since posting my original comment I tried using a pencil eraser on the lens and surprisingly it worked very well. I can see through the lens much clearer.
Your right in saying its a great unit for the price, although the field of vision is very narrow.
Thanks for replying.
