Excuse the dumb questions, but just so i understand:
1. can we now post pics as attachments to posts?
2. What file formats are allowed (jpeg, tiff, raw, pdf etc)?
Cheers

Yar, not a problem with the forum, I removed it to try a larger image but forum wouldnt accept the size - dunno yet if that is a pixel maximum or KB maximum allowance perhaps: Error: file too large is the message I;m getting so I'm gradually working down the size of the image.
EDIT: To save any confusion, the two roof spotter images alongside each other is my 'signature' which is hosted by photobucket, so they are not the attachments facility that admin is looking to improve for us

Well I'm guessing the allowed file size could do with being increased as my camera's images are generally over 4MB and I can't load them without seriously knocking them down to an acceptable size. not a problem if we can set our cameras to low quality perhaps, but this luddite has a prehistoric one held together with a rubber band and a menu that's too modern for my feeble brain lol.
These attempts are advice for 'John the forum fixer' and will be ongoing;
A 1382x1032, 866kb file is too large
A 922x688, 484kb file is too large
this 800x518,62kb file loads ok.
