It's just happened again and I may have thought of the reason.

I'm dyslexic and can't keep ideas in my head for long so i post quickly then when i read it i see something wong so go back and edit it... Sometimes within seconds. Is that causing the flood control I see on other forums where I edit too qickly for the forum to take in?

Not really sure, Dave, as I haven't personally come across it, but maybe some of our other members have.

OK, I think my son has sorted it.

He thinks I (the 61 years old dinosaur) am buggering up your server with internet explorer. You gave me the hint last night George when you suggested I try logging in with a different server. I've only ever used IE and it scared me to try something new. He has now put firefox on for me saying it's faster and possibly more compatible with your server.

Woohoo - this firefox malarkey has brought a spell checker with it so maybe I can make more sense first time. Does it detect bad grammar as well? Im going to come straight back and try to edit this post within seconds as usual.

Quick question about firefox now I'm using it.

When I read something using int explorer the post sort of marked itself read in that if I use the back arrow to go back to the sub section index it had turned from blue (new post) to black (read post)

That's not happening now so I have to read them all then go over and mark the posts in that section read. Is that how everyone else does it?

I find that it does, Dave, but only when you refresh, or go to another section.

On the server issue, my lad had some sort of issue on a dell PC motherboard that had a conflict with IE some time ago. Gobbledegook to me but he thinks that as I was editing my post, your server had sent my PC the text, but my PC had a problem reading it or modifying it so it threw a strop.

My brother had used IE on it OK but he doesn't do forums.
