Hello from France!

Post by MattFrance » 26 Oct 2017, 16:00

Just joined the forum after reading through it for some time. I must say there are some very impressive things that have been done!

Cheers, Matt

Welcome to the forum. I'll give you all the important questions that other members are going to ask, all in one hit.
Are you a shooter, if so what do you shoot?
Do you have any NV gear, or are you looking at buying or building your own? We love the chance to ramble on to a new captive audience about our favourites.
Are you native French, or an expat?
Do you have a warped sense of humour? If not the Mods will issue one.
Are there any jokes about France you haven't heard yet? I am sure you will be tested on this.
Enjoy your stay. :)

Haha, I’ll give a little more of an introduction then!

I’m an expat who moved from Scotland to France in 2004. Before the move I used to enjoy mainly hunting with air-rifles, but have only recently got the urge again (as hunting with air guns in France is forbidden  ) and have also acquired a nice hw77k which I’ve fettled 8-)

I’ve never tried night vision but have done a fair bit of lamping, would love to have a go at a diy setup using e700 - but will start a thread for that.

As for my sense of humour, I will try and keep it polite for now. I have very thick skin - and sometimes forget that others don’t always understand my banter!

Cheers, Matt

Does the move make you a frog?
I love this country; it's the damn government I'm afraid of!

Probably part frog by now, and certainly like the wine! But not a surrender monkey yet... ;)
