Recoil damage PVS14

Post by fern » 20 Jan 2013, 18:42

I'm told that the PVS14 is ok up to .223 regarding recoil damage risk...Has anybody been brave enough to use the unit on a larger calibre???
Thinking that we use many moderated weapons that seriously reduce felt recoil, any thoughts????

I used a 14 extensively on a short-barreled .243, moderated, with no adverse effects, but it's often down to the halo of the tube.

Some of the fellas have found that tube damage has more been from flash than recoil.
