Any recomendations for private small van insurance quotes ?, anyone know of any good deals on offer ?

Just trying to save time trawling through the endless companies.

Thanks Jackal 1.
I gave up after searching for 20 minutes, I parted with £183.00 for a 12 month Comp policy with Aviva.

...just wondering....what insurance requirements do you Limeys have to deal with over there?

What's the general insurance package look like on a new car/truck?

 Frogman
Minimum requirement would be "third party cover" in case you shunt another vehicle or bounce a bicycle rider or two ? in to the hedge :wtf: or demolish the odd bus shelter on a off road detour while driving down the pavement
Cheapest insurance would be based on the most "risk free occupation or lifestyle and a good history of not playing dodgems on the Queens Highway"
Every add-on insurance protection increases the yearly premium  but you can pay a smallish amount like £12.00 to protect you "No Claims Bonus" if you have that "feeling in your water" :problem: that venturing on to the public highway is not a good idea in the first place  based on health and safety issues and "Sod's Law" that Murphy claims is bound to catch up with you sometime, "hence the need to protect your No Claims Bonus."
Fully Comprehensive Insurance Cover is the best worry free "all round" protection but it will not cover someone for "a act of God or a plague of locust" nor a drought and the unforeseen exclusions in the small print of the policy  .

Be careful out there Frogman if it can go wrong, it will go wrong and then you will be up to your arm pits in form filling.
Thanks
Phil

Just curious...

We have either "Full coverage", or "Liability". Liability just covers payouts to the person you just splattered with your Hummer. "Full coverage" covers liability, collision, and comprehensive. Collision covers your car, if it's your fault. Comprehensive is for the odd stuff. Acts of cattle crossing the roads, cracked windshields, hail damage. Everyone with a drivers license/permit has to have at least liability, even if they don't own a car. If you don't have liability coverage, you get fined and your permit goes away. Seems like you guys have better options.
