Mine too. I saw one a few days ago where a guy was doing hand stands and pulling himself onto similarly scant very high ledges. If the concrete lip had given away as his sideways pulling occurred it would have been hasta la vista baby.

as a much younger man I used to love climbing, you just have to remember you have no more chance of falling at 300' than you have at 1'. HOWEVER, as I get older there's no way on Gods earth I would do that now  Gives me a bum twitch just watching it now

I once near took my last misstep around an open shaft that would have seen me drop over a mile ( and that is not an exaggeration )
On another bad day the floor gave way under me and that drop was half a mile.
I used to run a long beams in an iron works to kick a pile of dirt down onto the boss-man bellow when he crossed the melt deck. ( plenty of time to run away before it hit his head ).
I walked the runways on cranes across a soaking pit in a steel works to do another job ( would have been burnt to a cinder before I hit the floor if I slipped )

It all scared the hell out of me until I became accustom too it.
How do you get used to that kind of thing I bet you are asking yourself?

Money.....
There is enough money to get you to do anything especially if you have mouth to feed and little other choice.
So I get the guy with the paint roller.
We are lucky that it would be against the law to do a lot of those things today, but it was not that long ago they could fire you if you said no.

Lets hope for the painter's sake workplace standards change for him soon too.

A very lucky Beaver.
Just a few hold injuries to show for it and time left to get old
