Last weeks Shooting Times.

Last weeks Shooting Times.
According to Tony Jackson ??? the use of high tech night vision equipment to shoot and control the UK fox population is against the fair sporting principles of the countryside and it's ways ???
Whilst I have every respect for him being the editor of the Shooting Time "I am lost for words at the dullness of his quote in a leading countryside sporting magazine where he is attempting to defend the UK fox species as a cuddly pet that should be conserved and nurtured ???
I seriously doubt that he has come across "a few week old lambs with their throats ripped out" or witnessed a farm cat being snatched and shaken like a rag and then being killed by a sneaky large dog fox. I would be the first one to leave a fox alone if that fox was only hunting the rabbits in the cabbage patch but "that is not the way that ANY FOX operates."
Here is the ST email address that is asking for reply comments on the subject of "The Use of High Tech N/V Equipment for Fox Control ???" >>> stletters@timeinc.com

he need to be Zumboed. What you need is the email addresses of his BOD and then get him fired. The gutter press will _ALWAYS_ take any dissension in our ranks and use it to try to destroy another slice of freedom.
Over here the pistol shooters didn't support the rifle shooters when they came for their semi autos. So the rifle shooters didn't support the pistol shooters when it was their turn in the firing line. Divide and Conquer is always the strategy of those who would enslave us via regulation.

In the USA in the 90s S&W was the first gun maker to fall in line with the Clinton strategy to regulate via law suit rather than legislation. Several others were ready to sign including Glock and Sig. A consumer boycott caused S&Ws near bankruptcy and sale. The other companies decided not to concede to the Clintons and the strategy failed. When S&W abrogated the Clinton agreement their consumer sales returned and the business has gone from strength to strength.
Jim Zumbo, a respected hunting writer got drunk, went on line and railed against semi autos. The shooting community destroyed his business through boycotts. His career was rehabilitated after he mea culpaed and took the side of the shooters.
Dick Metcalf was a gun magazine editor looking to a second career in academia. He decided to side with his intelligentsia mates and push firearms restrictions in his mag. He lost his job and proceeded to bad mouth the shooting community that had fed him for 40 years. No one in the gun industry will employ him and the main stream media use him as an example of how barbaric we are - but they will not offer him a job either as he is not one of the insider clique, just a useful idiot.
The Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show was the 2nd largest after SHOT. They decided to ban display of semi autos, the management was virtue signalling to their political masters. The consumer backlash caused a massive boycott by the vendors and the end of the show. The NRA now run a show in its place.
In each of these cases the press ran with the 'gun owners are fractured into factions' story, hoping to encourage anti-gun legislation; followed by ' they are evil barbarians who destroy careers of 'sensible, restriction loving gun owners' when the backlash occurred. In each case the shooting community continued on and no further harm was done to their liberties.

Either get him fired or make him retract his statements. A concerted effort to get him fired will either result in a retraction or doubling down if he thinks hes an upper class twat who knows better than working class scum. I'm guessing there is a definite bit of that in play. Fox numbers will be up since the ban on hunting with hounds. Was he decrying hunting with hounds prior to the ban? If no then he is interested in the upper class game of hunting, rather than protection of the environment or stock.

I am not being vindictive. Its a simple fact that a call for banning anything to do with our freedoms, by a 'respected spokesman' from our side, _WILL_ be used to try and bring it into being. Any spokesman who steps out of line must be removed and replaced or very publicly renounce his statements.
