She "er-in-doors" sent me for toilet rolls the other day, I came back with a jumbo pack of kitchen towels and a cooked chicken off the hot counter, had earache for about four days being told that I lacked no sense at all and not much concentration. My defence was based on the chicken was a bargain because it had been reduced to £2.75 "which I thought was pretty good" and that I had remembered that she had said something about paper "and that I had just taken a stab at what paper I thought that she had said that she wanted" After the huffing and puffing had subsided I tried to explain that men can't multitask, and once I had found the bargain priced cooked chicken my mind went blank.
Ah well she will calm down one day ?

And the best two words that can be used to boost your defence when a woman's bidding has gone south is "I understand", they have quick rant, you repeat I understand a few times, they walk off spitting feathers and cursing, but you have earned "reprieve points" because you have paid attention and half admitted your failings ??? And better still the words "I really do understand" are priceless as you have now convinced the female brain that you have learnt something and can see the error of your ways. Stops them dead in their tracks. :D
