Well as you all know at my age most of our friends are retired and do have the spare time to address such commands from "she who must be obeyed"
So, I invited some of my neighbours, mates and friends over to help with the rainwater project.
Jimmy is a retired sheet metal fabricator.
My brother is lazy most of the time but he brought his welder.
Richie and his son who own a corner shop brought cans of beer, crisps and peanuts
The next door neighbour is a ex-army cook and brought a gas grill with a few dozen burgers and a tray of baps and rolls.
It took us about 7 hours and about 48 cans of beer and some very doggy burgers, but we got it done just as we were running out of the last of the beer, burgers, crisps and peanuts.
As usual, the wife is still not a happy bunny ! and there seems to be a lot of muttering and blaspheming going on ???
Can't understand it, because we all worked really hard on the rainwater project and finished it in good time as well, the guys love the finished job and several photographs were also taken ? just in case it gets stolen in the future ?
Personally, I cannot wait for it to rain.
