Sticklebacks

Post by baffled » 22 Apr 2016, 22:30

Hi all,

When I was but a young kid I kept dozens of them in tanks in a shed in the backyard.
Used to watch them for hours.

I now have a small garden pond and would like some sticklebacks in it.

The question is, where can I get some sticklebacks?

Have net, can travel!

Ken.

Sticklebacks and Bullheads, many memories.
We used to find loads of them in a little stream under a very small road bridge.
You might look a bit daft these day though walking down the street in shorts and wellies with a fishing net slung over your shoulder.
You can buy them off evilbay if you're that way inclined, if not just go searching, they're supposedly still out there but having not looked for them for 50 years I did have to check.
Effluent in many languages.

Any sand/gravel bottom glacial pond in Ohio has them. Road trip.
