Another extreme lens question

Hi all, yet another quick question, would a lens with a 3.5 f stop be of any use for the photon extreme build ?.

Yes it will, the f stop is a ratio worked out by the size of the internal iris in relation to the lens diameter, so it means the same amount of light will get through to the film/sensor/eye on every camera/person etc. So in essence, it's only a formula and no measure of performance at the business end.
The early bird may get the worm, but it's the second mouse that gets the cheese.
