Hi all, as title says I'm new to the NV game.
I hunt rabbits with an air rifle ( fac ) on my permissions and have just purchased an old mk1 dipol d143 gen1 nv riflescope and a n1000ap ir laser which is great ....... But........... I was wondering if there is/was a doubler lens made for this unit and if not, could one be made up using a tele converter lens?
Just be nice to have a bit more magnification....

Hello Dave and nice to have you on the forum.
If you're looking for more mag, I take it you want to use the unit as a spotter and not an add-on?

Re: Nv novice with question....
Hi George, thanks for the welcome!
In answer to your question, I would like to increase the magnification of the nv unit.
It is a dedicated nv scope with crosshairs and the mag is only about 1.5x .
By fitting a doubler I was thinking it would increase the target size.....

Re: Nv novice with question....
Not had any dealings with this scope and yes I thought it was a mono as well
After having a quick shuffty, it looks as if these were 2.2 mag in there basic state but there was another 3 mag version sold with an extra lens added.
So basically any "doubler as in 1.5x-ish" should do the job if you can find a step ring to fit the threads together.
Look up some threads here or on other sites about the pulsar N-550 doubler, it should work if you can get the threads match sorted.

Effluent in many languages.
Re: Nv novice with question....
Cheers lads, I've been looking all over the net for info on a doubler for this exact model but can't find a thing, but if you are correct in saying any lens doubler should work then this is great news!!!
Like you said, just have to make sure I can attach it ok to the thread on the scope.

Hi lads,
Got some good news!!!
Someone on fleabay is selling a dipol nv
Riflescope and the picture showed it with a doubler.
I contacted him for info on where he got the doubler lens and it turns out its a Yukon nv doubler.....
He said it just screws straight on with no adapting!!!
Happy days
