I drove one of those for about 4 years and maintained 4 of them for approx 6-7 years.
Deep wallet and lots of patience required.
The firm I used to work for had them for crop spraying on wet land, as long as the muck didn't stick they were fine, if it did stick it knackered them completely.
Most parts will still be fairly easily acquired such as bearings, engines and alike, tracks are easily constructed if you have the money as are the drive sprockets, major problems will start when you need to service the steering gear (variable V belt pullet system ) which has a lot of machine specific parts.
Still got some modified tools I used to use on them.
Bloody glad to see the back of them at the time but nostalgia is a funny thing.

You going to buy it for old times sake ? I know he had some others so may find a better one if you ring him Bit of a pain to trailer around to shows / fun days etc though

I like that Phil, just got too much stuff at the moment though. Got 4 quads, 2 Argo's and one Amphicat in the workshop. I need to make space. One quad I've given to my son so that will be going but still a massive amount of room taken up.

Did you notice the stuff in the background, front of a bike with a steering wheel (Tuk tuk) ? And, is that the fan ducting off a hovercraft made into a table (or something completely different)?

Rod another vehicle that I keep getting annoyed about not chasing up and buying was a Thwaites Work Horse, don't think that there were many of them made, they had artic hydraulic steering with a flat bed rear deck with a up front driving position same as a forward control set up. That's another one of my many failings I seen to have a severe weakness for rough and ready go anywhere clumpy pieces of machinery Just the right type of vehicle to take the good woman indoors for a quick spin out to Tesco using a dumper in winter can be very cold and damp but in summer it can be a barrel of laughs at times ? but a dangerous vehicle as well. Like a flat bed Gama Goat ? Mate had a Gama, quite good, got it stuck though and had to be winched out
