Hi guys,
Been trying various NV set ups for the past 18 months without ever knowing that this forum existed! I do now though so I'll be trawling posts to get as much info as possible.
Most of my shooting is rabbits at night with FAC air rifle or 22lr, or a bit of rat shooting using my little .22BSA Ultra with a Yukon Photon.
Photon is great for rat gun but not so good out at 50 yards +. I've tried sentinel and Cobra DSA but cant get on with them. I also find it difficult to shoot with a screen. Any advice /experience of the Ward D?

Re: Newbie intro
Hi, welcome to the forum.
I'm surprised you cant use the Photon at sub 100 yards - I thought the original 5x42 one was great at subsonic ranges, although I understand some people prefer a rabbit to fill the screen more. I'd personally find it hard to acquire at air ranges if the FOV were much tighter.
Near eye viewers generally give me a poked in the eye feeling but the early Photon was much better for me than others I have looked through and hated.
Never used or looked through a WDV but I've heard consistently good reports about them.
