Looking for a helpful person living near Winsham ?

Post by hairyyoda » 22 Jan 2016, 16:05

Hello all.
Looking for a helpful person living near or who travels through Winsham near Chard in South Somerset who could call and pick up a item and drop it off at a Hermes parcel drop off shop in their own timescale for it to be sent on to me in Llanelli in South West Wales  .
I am unlucky enough to have come across a prize specimen of a difficult person  who will sell to me  but will not help with posting to me  . I have tried every step of logic and saying pretty please to him in several different languages  but for reasons best known to a dead banana  I have miserably failed to energise any goodwill into his personality  Any helpful comments will be very welcome  and any humour that will cheer up a dull situation on a quite Friday will also be appreciated
    Thanks Phil

Thanks for your replies Nipper 64 and Silent Shooter.
Yes you are both right  and that was what I tried to arrange with the other party but the gentleman has got his brain stuck in a bucket of cement  and is insisting on only using a UPS 6 to 8 Business Day courier service of his choice ????? regardless of me asking to arrange everything from this end and for me to post or email him a prepaid Hermes or Parcel Force label which would get the delivery done and dusted, and as I can not get passed his obsession and devotion to use a UPS Courier Service I have now floundered and recon that I have abysmally failed :o in all attempts to arrange anything with the other party except for a personal pick up :problem: . In fact I have now got a feeling in my water that I am now on his email ignore list :o  and the whole of the courier challenge has gone south with the penguins for the winter    But one must live in hope :x
Thanks all Phil

He is from Somerset remember. Have you tried sending him pictures of what you want him to do, he may understand those

Sounds like a case of eBay "didn't get price he expected so just being an awkward tool"
I recently won something from a bloke very local to me and he refused to let me pick it up and wanted about 6 times the correct postage,he just cancelled the transaction in the end.

Thanks Silent Shooter your probably right  and another thank you to Rod for the wisdom and knowledge  of simplifying the task of communicating with difficult  people. I will try the step by step picture diagram method  but I have a bad feeling he going to throw a mega wobbly at the humour of simple diagrams and will still carry on with his unreasonable and difficult ways with a greater gusto !!!  TGIF and thanks all.
