Hi Guys looking for some I put on a pair of bib and braces,having to wear a bloody brace on my leg due to arthritis and need to cover legs up more when out (beating picking up ) normally have leggings but wondered if these might be better over the top of boots (not Wellies) anyone wear them ?? If so what would you recommend ,but not silly money please thanks in advance cheers

Hello Cornish, I've been wearing b + b for shooting / fishing and ferreting for the last 8 yrs or so and have about 6 different pairs. A couple of pairs from the U.S. and even a set from Matalan ( ski salopettes really). E Bay is your friend on this . The best pair I have are DeerHunter Kamchatkas which are very well made and as warm as you'll ever need in this country. I'm surprised the bib hasn't caught on more in this country really but I rarely do any hunting or shooting without em.

Think I've got a set of deer hunter, the duck down filled jobbies. Very warm on a cold wet night and very comfortable but wouldn't want to be be working hard in them. Are you looking for warmth or just a tough waterproof type?
Gone through a few sets of flexothane ones, OK for a while but beating through thorn or rough going they certainly won't stick it long.
I got given a decent set of goretex type from a chap who finished on the railways, bit bright but tough, comfortable and waterproof. He also gave me a rubber set which was way tougher than flexothane but was also a bit hot when working hard.
There's loads of fishermen types which are really decent but for lots of walking, kneeling and physical stuff I'd pick the tough railway goretex type especially if they're free and you're not too worried about looking like a tangerine...

Have a look at chaps or treggings aswell. They can be both water and thorn proof, also they have the advantage of getting a bit of air around ya cobbler area if you're walking !

Chainsaw trousers are both hardwearing and warm, worth looking for on Ebay, Free Ads, Craigslist etc. Also have a "google" for Surplus Ex MOD clothing, there used to be ground crew insulated clothing available. Phil

These will keep you warm and you will have leg muscles like a shire horse after a few strenuous outings of wearing this type of bib and brace.
