Only really get on here for a quick glimpse when I've got a minute, been that busy of late trying to sort the garden out, building Yorkstone walls, trying to put a straight fence along a load of pissed up concreted in posts, firms been taken over and wanting blood etc etc. Normal days really but long ones.

you must still be busy taking that big sigh of relief at finally getting your house sorted mate

Whats the walling you're doing. Is it the cut stone and morter type or the rough stone dry sort?

It's been a bit of all the above Rod.
Originally it was half a partially tumbled down Yorkstone dry wall and half a partially tumbled down wall made from ancient 3" pavers broken up into bits and actually weathered so it looked like grey stone.
I quickly rebuilt the dry stone wall as a temporary measure when we moved in because it holds back a raised border, not being very keen on having two walls of different materials I manged to get some more Yorkstone locally, so had some rough stone and some rough cut stone.
The size of these stones varied enormously, from half inch thick up to 6 inches alhough I did manage to split some of the easier ones with hammer and chisel.
Decided that the new wall should be mortared and shaped to make room for a pond instead of straight up the left hand side and straight along the top.
Bit of a crap photo but this is what I've done so far.

A pond !!! make it in to a wildlife pond for frogs etc, much easier to maintain  In fact, no maintenance

Nice job on the wall though

Just doing our garden again, for the last time. relaying patio along with new steps. All laid on concrete so no movement. Getting rid of borders and lawn and going to raised beds with planters and some form of stone paths on weed barrier. Getting to old (and fed up) to keep weeding borders and cutting grass
