Tucked up like a kipper on Ebay.co.uk by a German.

Hello all
Not sure if this topic could be classed as "Humour" but it is well worth a good old moan any way
Long story, bought a shotgun stock and forend from Germany on Ebay.co.uk in April this year.
Seller sent parcel but the forend was the wrong one and it was also damaged.
I returned damaged forend back to Germany end of April this year.
Seller promised to replace forend with new forend and the £10.15p return postage cost as well.
Seller informs me by email that they have posted the replacement forend and the £10.15p postage money back to me
Patiently waiting for the replacement forend and the postage money to turn up, but I then spy that the same forend that I am supposed to be receiving from Germany is for sale with another Ebay seller in Ireland ????? :wtf:
Then to add salt to the injury the forend that I had sent back to Germany is for sale again with the German Ebayer
I then receive a email from the German Ebay seller telling me that I should sell the shotgun stock that I still have by putting it on Ebay etc. and then send them a larger amount of money in order to further purchase another stock and forend from them in Germany etc.

NEED YOUR INPUT ON THE BEST WAY TO TACKLE THIS DELIBERATE FRAUD

Only thing that I have done so far is to fire off some irate emails to the German person who just happens to have a surname of "Kaiser" and also put a for sale auction on Ebay.co.uk of £0.99p for the sale of "Information of Fraud from a bad German Ebay seller" item number 111714258203.
Not sure how many rules or policies I am breaking "BUT I AM LONG PASSED CARING AT ALL etc.
I think that I also need to contact that old Liverpudlian comedian Stan Boardman for some advice as I seem to remember that he had some good comments about the failings of some of the Germans. Thanks all Phil

P.S. Just googled Stan Boardman, the Wikipedia entry about the Fokkers is a scream

How did you pay?

If it was paypal not sure if they cover items of firearms etc but I imagine you have already been down that road?

You can report a seller on ebay if that does any good I don't know?

How much have you lost if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for your reply.
(1) PayPal.co.uk (2) Wooden stock & forend "Yes we are O/K" "but outside the Ebay 45 day claim time limit etc." because I trusted the Germans promises and the time limits ran out  (3) Ebay are very sorry for my problems and will remove any bad feedback if it should be posted against me. (4) £620.00 + £16.00 P+P + £10.15 return postage.
Fired off an email to Angela Merkel to ask if she could send some big burly storm troupers around to the town of Hameln to put some leverage on the situation but no reply yet. Need to get Stan Boardman back on the television a couple of good jokes about the Fokkers will soon bring a remedy to the situation. Thanks Phil

If you could wind the clock back a few years, Freddie Star in his Adolf garb would make a good companion for Stan Boardman, bound to get a result with two such wonderous cultural attaches.

Hi Phil,

I feel for you, i Know just how it feels to get stung, i had a problem with a few claims through paypal, they even told me i had to get a 3rd party to do an appraisal on the damaged items......no company would do it as it was special gear. Long story short, i lost both cases and it cost me big ££££ of money.... gone, thanks PAYPAL...........more pay than PAL, anyway, the 45 day is old so you go for it, 180 days you have.

That is why I am setting up a page soon on my website for people who need appraisals done, as i'm an engineer by trade and recognised as such. So if paypal asks you for one, send me evidence of the damage ( if you took any photos ) and i will write you a headed letter with my business details. cannot promise you will win with an appraisal but it helps the case if you need one done

I hate to hear other people loosing out because paypal doesn't give a monkey, they take the protection money and do not protect.

Splatty

I had similar issues with PP re 3rd party assessment, they are quite the worst most infuriating company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
