I should be but the car is still being forensically examined after I got robbed by five IC3 males.

They say its wong to stereotype people but I'll be turning round when I see a job I've been sent to is a bunch of them in future.

They've probably cost me near on a grand with loss of earnings in this narrow window of prime time opportunity - replacement car keys - recovery(s ) phone and android - all for the sake of 50 to 60 quid takings that I let them take rather than risk getting shanked for dissing them.

They have arrested and bailled all five of them.

It'll be too long to type out the whole episode but long story short - we have all at some time been advised to turn over the money because these type will 'shank' us if we show them any 'disrespect' As it was only £50 to £60, and I have breathing issues agravated with asthma I would have folded after making maybe two good punches - and probally got stabbed or heavily kicked about for it. The last cabbie that got done was unreckognisable after resisting.

Ater taking the cash they stole both phones I had in their holders so I couldnt call the law and took the keys so I couldn't run them over or follow them.
After the first passing motorist in the secluded area they did it passed in fright at me running towards him asking to call the law sped off another decent chap stopped and let me use his mobile.

Must have been 8 marked and unmarked cars there in less than four mins - but no perps found till hours later based on my rather vague descriptions of passengers behind me at night.

I've not been hurt and plod went to great length to assure me I did the right thing. I can get another set of keys delivered and chip activated on Monday apparently. Because the car is an auto it had to be revovered to forensics then to a dealer to wait for keys to arrive - should have come today but dint. I was taken home to change my outer clothing and have it taken for possible evidential fibre matching . I only have the plastic emergency key which I was told doesn't allow ingnition but have since learned they do. I suspect it might break easily so don't want to try using it to start the car anyway sevweral times a night anyway - that might need new locks.

Its cost a lot but could have been so much worse. appy Xmas popps.

Sincerely hope you get over it without too much amiss.

Thanks Chris, Adam, Rod and all - I'm not as politacally subtle and said in my statement the kints can forget a cab if theres more than two of them ferom now on. Maybe I ought to get a saloon so there are ony four of em - but the guy that got his face rearranged up bad only had four.
