I think I would pick the second story, definitely the second if you'd included crop circles. 8-)

haha, I know. You have to let your mind roam around a bit now and again though don't you. It's all in good fun. You have to admit though that if you look at religion with a completely open mind you would never believe it
There are some most peculiar things about though and I shall never see the answer to them, I'll be long gone by the time all the answers are sorted.

I think if both were written down and given to someone who had no previous knowledge of either, and was told one was true but the other false, and they had to pick the true one most would pick the second

Rod, have you read about Scientology?

My knowledge doesn’t go further than an episode of South Park, but worth a read I think.

Paul,
That South park episode is ALL you need to know about Scientology.
It's the best modern example of how religions start, how they recruit people and then emotionally and financially blackmail them into being unable to leave.
BTW, if I had to choose a religion to follow then it would deifintely be the "Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster" - all hail his noodely appendage!!

I'm not really in to that sort of stuff, I'm more curious than a believer. I've briefly looked at Scientology, but, like religion, how can you absolutely believe in something unproven?

Personally I wouldn't discount either of the two stories until proven either way, and if one was proven I think it wouldn't really surprise me. It would be more of a "well how about that then" than a "wow, you just wouldn't believe it would you"

Some very strange things in this here universe of ours and we know so little.
