Bresser off eBay for project
Re: Bresser off eBay for project
I have had a petrol 3 series 88" that had the worst steering i have ever known , you had to turn the wheel almost a full turn before it started to steer
, that ended up being shipped out to africa , a defender 90 fitted with a 200tdi from a disco that always started first turn of the key no matter what but was totally rotten underneath but due to clever use of underseal i never even noticed
, a 200tdi disco that started falling to bits , 3 x 2.8td lwb pajeros that done probably no more than 20ish mpg and the last one cracked the head , 2 x freelanders that were pretty crap off road , but for the last 4 years i have had a lwb rav4 2.0d that does over 40 to the gallon , goes anywhere i want it to and has gone through 4 mot's without even any advisories , although eventually when this dies i will get a little car for to and fro work and probably another 90 for shooting.

Should be a good un then, the old 2.4 turbo was a disaster for cracked heads etc .

Series steering can be set up quite tight, but all joints have to be perfect and steering box takes ages to adjust to the last tiny little bit.
RAV 4's got a really good name for itself, and lots about

yep, thats it....i couldn't remember meself last nightrodp wrote:Thinking about it now I think production started in mid to late 47 to get stock ready for early 48 (easter?) motor show.
the trouble with land rover is that they've alway been screwed by whatever parent company owned them at the time
landys have always sold well, so the parent company used them like a cash cow. LR have one of the best R&D departments in the industry
but there was never any cash spare to build what they designed (*project iceberg for one) or do the job properly
the S3 should never have exsisted. when the S3 was released should have been the first coil sprung utility land rovers
