Pellexit
Re: Pellexit
Rodp you are a terror but i do like you. I have a question as have been offered a 'full' Nitrogen tallboy bottle from a friend - stored for many years. No regulator fitted as he 'sold' it on. I would like to try it but the cost of fitting a new reg might outweigh the usefulness of the free gift. From what i have read the tank would probably be pressurised at about 2500lbs per sq inch. Apparently one can vent the tank to the atmosphere to empty it - sounds reasonable to me. However, recycling it could prove challenging but i just do not know. 200bar would be useful for 12fps. I wondered what sort of charge you get from yours? Whats this about plywood, my fave diy medium.
Re: Pellexit
SB you will have to spoon feed me here as your viewtopic links are not working for me and I am finding it increasingly difficult to navigate here. What about we elect to pay a small premium to the guys whom run and police the server, for upgrading, expenses or some such. give em cake. Many thanks for your kind offer and as soon as i find the link/images to cost etc i will get back to you.

You can use an oxo gauge as nitrogen is inert anyway, just make sure the wp of the gauge suits the cylinder. You will have to play about with fittings on the gauge, may even have to braze a few bits together to get the hose onto the gauge. You can get used gauges cheaply off such as ebay , £10 or £15 should get a decent oxo gauge.
Regarding the "plywood", you need to go to the inner circle of the forum to read about that, ask nicely and the mods may let you in

Branston, just looking at your post count they will not let you in to the "inner circle" yet. I'm not allowed to reveal any threads that reside in there for fear of being banned for life, but I will give you just a little of the text from the plywood thread, it goes like this
Dave, naked apart from a dayglo pink thong, looked up from his spread eagle position on the sheet of plywood, and said to the leather clad gaggle of Amazonian beauties surrounding him," I'm game for xxxxxxxxxx "
That's ll I can say buddy, perhaps someone else is willing to risk a ban and reveal more

Nobody dare disclose what Dave inflates with his air tank but rumours abound

Branston, Type the bold text into the forum search function - or Google to find the sales thread:pickle wrote:SB you will have to spoon feed me here as your viewtopic links are not working for me and I am finding it increasingly difficult to navigate here. new e700 M42 lens adaptors + extras now available
You will see all that needs to be seen - and much more.
My plywood days as I became satisfied that reverse monitors were a very feasible alternative to getting eye ache from near eye viewers, which also avoided the urge to get flexible neck extensions in the olden days. I also used tape. laggy bands, velcro and a piece of steel car exhaust pipe.

Re: Pellexit
I have never seen a dayglo pink thong but I did once shift a piano for an Amazon queen - she worked for weights and measures. I have had a lot of splinters from plywood but not how you might think. SB is no ordinary bloke and certainly no ordinary taxi driver. I think that some of you wear aprons and probably little else which explains a lot. That is a strange looking bolter that looks part 10-22. I shall try again by putting in the bold. Hold hard here.
Re: Pellexit
I tell you what Pheonix I have been using Win 10 now for a couple of days or so and I don't like it much - but christmas, it is so quick compared to my Win 7 system that bogs down at the drop of a hat. SB I love your your old plywood bits, it's like looking at retro Dr Who - I think you must have been a stage scene builder or a prop in another life. Incidentally I think your posts and YT bits should be in some sort of order as you have done so many it is getting a wee bit confusing - for me anyway.
Re: Pellexit
So the chip shop chappie says, 'don't you mean six of chips and a gherkin', so the customer says 'no no', 'six of chips and a fherkin big bag to put them in'.
Bloke walks in to a butchers shop and says, steak and kiddle eye pie please. Today the Times confirmed Brexit, yesterday Hamilton broke his car.
Can some nice person recommend a (tried and tested) cheap but useful M42 lens 1.4/1.8, @50mm for my new posh some bloke spotter build. I might add that ebay sellers claiming that their old bright lenses are fungus free are IMHO talking crap - why because in my experience you are unlikely to spot very tiny internal detritus unless you strap your lens to a spotter or addon build and look at the results on screen. I recently strapped on a very expensive 75mm 1.4 C mount lens claimed to be fungus free and looked at the 'on screen' results and there it was - fungus that you could not see with the naked eye. Could the lens be used - hell yes if you like warts. You have been warned.
Also just seen a YT video with chap from 'on here' using an E700 addon system attached to a Richter AO scope whilst ratting. Bright with lots of definition, good DOF and a pleasure to watch - IMHO. Also is there some other way to post images on this site (admin agreeable) other than bucket that belongs to the rest of the world and their gran. I would rather my images be policed by NVF admin than left in an 'open' site that advertises and is full of glitches and open to abuse.
