Doesn't really bother me what I find so long as it's interesting. Coin, button, whatever,it's all good.

The unwritten rule is 20 meters from the boundary. This is more to be sure than a legal requirement as the boundary is legally the, well, boundary
There is a map somewhere on the net showing boundaries, and as long as you KNOW you're outside of it then you're legal. Sometimes the boundary is easy enough to define (stream, walls etc) other times not.

Cheers rod, good info on there
I'll have good look at it over breakfast Tomrw.
The adjoining fields have never been detected. So it should be interesting

Where I live has plenty of areas of interest.
Anyone got one and what should I be looking for should I get one?

When (if) you find some of these old coins I always think of what they were worth when made. Probably best part of some poor souls wages you just dug up, and there were no benefits in those days :(

Plus all the other bits like spade etc.
You will always want a better detector, it's like nv, the grass is always greener the other side of the fence

I like detecting, I just don't like the boring t*ts that do it. They seem to be a very serious and subdued breed ........................ and that ain't me
In all seriousness, I joined a local club and they were nice blokes, helpful, polite etc, but there was only a couple who you could have a laugh with. Heckling at meetings was definitely frowned upon  That counted me out

Perhaps a few on here could get together
Im thinking of upgrading from the Garrett 250 Ace, Any suggestions Rod? Your links above dont work anymore. I have been loooking at the Minelab Safari but its £800+ :wtf:
