well, i speak as i find chaps....and i hope you lads know i tell the truth
i'm no regular customer of nvscopes, in fact when i did try to use em i got messed about so much i went to carl moore instead and said i'd never buy from clive ward again
most on here know all about this sort of palava of old
BUT. i'v got to say i'v been impressed by clive these last few months
i bought a second hand wardyvision. put a thread up on here about it. in which i said i bought it used because there was no way i'd give that bloke any of my money....then a couple of days later i took it apart and put a thread up on here for all to see
then. some time later i was talking about WDV on here and later on i got an email OUT OF THE BLUE! from clive giving me some tips on it....during the conversation i asked if he had any spare 240v chargers (i think the previous owner had put the original one in a cement mixer)
to which clive said. they are 15 quid each...or if you want to solder your existing three pin plug on i'll send you one for nowt. which he did and very quickly
to be fair, there was a fair bit of the old bullshit and excuses in those emails too (well i did say i speak as i find)
i'v been in contact with clive a fair bit over the last few weeks too and reply's have been very prompt
i'v had a few other people tell me they've had good service too
the way i look at it. the complaints in the past (there have been a few!) have been about comunication and reliability...not many have said he's actually dishonest.
the bloke has brought out two new products in as many weeks with no fanfare or 18 months of hype.....thats almost unheard of in n.v circles. and IMO should be congratulated for that alone
and be honest with yourselves. if those two products were from a different producer. how many would have congratulated them and said they were great?.....quite a few i bet
i'v typed all this out so people know where i am coming from
i'm not clives new best mate or his stooge...i just think he's doing well atm and maybe, just MAYBE!. he's gonna start giving his customers the service he should have been giving for the last decade or so

just maybe the order books are drying up.
bad name gets round quicker than a good one.
I really like that new add-on but I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone because of the history

I hope clive has a lot of success with this new add on , it seems to perform well enough and unlike the starlight arrow at this moment in time does actually exist.

Well, until I stop seeing lads on the forums who've parted with their hard-earned money and struggle to get either the product delivered or their money refunded, I won't be convinced.
To add insult to injury, he fails to communicate with people. People don't like being kept in the dark and ignored, especially where money is concerned. It shows a lack of respect for the customer, in my eyes.
This isn't in the past, either. There's an example of this tardiness dated the beginning of this month.
Still shabby

That's the only thing buying from a small company not one of the big companies still least it's buying British it seams to be some have no problems and speak only good things why does he not get other people to build some up like a franchise or something Adam seems to loving using the first one and looking at the pics it's well thought out and a good product just don't seem like there's an amount made to keep up with orders on the books
Two and half million made and three quarters of these still on the road, can you say the same about your 4x4

that was one of the points i tried to make above
i'm not suddenly going to be telling everyone he's more reliable than sunrise...neither am i trying to convince anyone of anything
just making the observation that he seems to be going in the right direction and bringing out some decent new products

Fair comment.
What we also have to remember is that Clive has very few places to shout about new products. It ain't allowed over on the BBS and certainly isn't on here. So, it's more a case of not being able to publicise them, rather than not wanting to, if you get my drift. Unsure of the situation on other forums.
Irony is, the E700 is championed on this forum more than anywhere else, I would imagine, so it would be a nice place to advertise, should someone happen come up with a purpose built housing for one.
I like to be kept informed about any orders I place for goods. If something isn't in stock, I'd prefer to know that BEFORE I parted with my money. If there is going to be a delay, I'd like to be able to contact the seller, or have him contact me.
I don't want my emails to be ignored. I don't want promises of return phone calls that never happen. I don't want constant answer machine messages. On these grounds, I'm fussy to whom I send my hard-earned money. It ain't a game

Re: bloody hell, clive's on fire just lately
Clive's nv products had very good reviews from the people fortunate enough to receive them, sadly I'm one of the frustrated would be customers left waiting without product ,explanation, return call, excuse etc. Really, not confidence building at all and it's a shame .Theres a ready built market here for products with a good performance reputation. From what I can gather the guy is a nice enough kinda bloke, helpful and knowledgeable, but his initial customer care is pants, so after care would be questionable at the very least. I know Clive has had health problems because someone mentioned it on the forum but people who don't use the forum are unaware of this and are less tolerant of his situation. It's a shame really , at a time when most businesses are struggling to make it and there's sales here going begging for the right products....just my two penneth!......rant over
