I have never really considered just how heavy a mans arm and hand is. I was totally unable to move it by it's own muscle group until early this morning. lifting your arm with the other hand to put it anywhere it needs to be was really weird, especially when it flopped somewhere I didn't intend.

I'd opted for a local anaesthetic which involved an electronic beeper device being connected up to me to identify each nerve. There were about 8-ish injections of 3cc of whatever into the shoulder/neck area and another 6 or so into the forearm - all very clever stuff, some of them involving the location that caused the most muscle twitches.
